Record Restoration
A past mistake should not define a young person’s future. This program is designed to support youth and young adults across Arizona in navigating record expungement and rights restoration, helping them remove barriers that limit access to employment, housing, and education. Many individuals carry the weight of past involvement with the justice system without understanding their options for relief. This initiative provides clarity, guidance, and real pathways to a second chance—restoring confidence and opening doors that once felt closed.
Understanding the legal process is the first step toward reclaiming opportunity. Participants are connected to trusted legal resources such as Community Legal Services and Arizona Justice Project, which provide support with record sealing, set-asides, and post-conviction relief. These organizations help individuals determine eligibility, complete necessary paperwork, and navigate court processes—ensuring that youth are not overwhelmed or discouraged by the legal system.
Access to additional legal aid and rights restoration services further strengthens this support. Partnerships with ACLU of Arizona and Step Up to Justice provide guidance on civil rights, voting rights restoration, and legal advocacy. These resources help young people understand their rights, rebuild their legal standing, and move forward with confidence knowing they are supported by organizations committed to fairness and justice.
Beyond legal assistance, this program focuses on rebuilding life after record clearance. Participants are connected to workforce and reentry support through Arizona@Work and organizations like Fresh Start Women's Foundation, which provide career training, job placement, and personal development services. Resume building, interview preparation, and employer connections help ensure that once barriers are removed, opportunities are within reach.
True restoration goes beyond paperwork—it’s about reclaiming identity, dignity, and purpose. This program empowers youth to move forward without being defined by their past, equipping them with the knowledge, resources, and support needed to build a stable and successful future. By connecting individuals to critical expungement and rights restoration services across Arizona, this initiative transforms second chances into real, lasting change for individuals, families, and communities.
